I don't want to say this is a conspiracy to make Mac users buy new hardware or only purchase software through the Mac store but. :( I think what happened is we were forced to start code-signing and notarizing the Mac builds due to Apple security rules, which upped the minimum OS version to 10.15 during Patch #1 (v2204).
